From racing and jumping bmx bikes to off road rides on mountain bikes he is a naturally gifted rider.

Roddy purchased his first racing bike last year and immediatley showed great potential. His main goal is to stay on henrys wheel for the duration of the trip.

Henry 'Chickenlegs' Blake completed the end to end two years ago with a group of six geriatric riders. This is an attempt to repeat the journey unsupported. No Zimmer frames or incontinence aids this time, and no tea and cakes from the bun lorry following.

Last year Roddy 'The Frog' Hamilton and 'Chickenlegs' circumnavigated Southern Ireland, but had to be rescued from violent winds and rain at Skibbereen on the south west coastal road when the going got so steep they were blown backwards to the nearest cafe. Here Roddy allegedly fell in love with a local lobster...or so it seemed from his facial colour.

This time there will be no help from the Irish farmers either. Henry had a good twenty mile tow from a sludge squirter to which he seemed glued, and Roddy spent ten happy miles behind a roadsweeping brush. No one will give you B&B if you smell like that or are caked in mud...
